Bachata Week Cádiz 2027 runs Sunday 22 to Sunday 29 August 2027 in Cádiz, Andalusia - the thirteenth edition of the immersive training week previously known as Sensual Week. It is deliberately not a normal festival: instead of changing groups every hour, you stay with the same cohort all week for 10 hours (2 hours x 5 days) of progressive training in one chosen focus area - Couple Technique (connection, partnerwork, social dancing quality), Body Technique (movement, posture, control, expression) or Musicality Technique (timing, phrasing, interpretation). Entry is by video application only: every applicant submits a short social dancing clip, artists review each one individually, and groups are built from how you actually dance rather than a self-declared level. Around 350-400 dancers from more than 50 countries attend, with leader/follower balance managed across the week. The pass includes guided practice sessions, personalised video feedback, six themed socials and Bachata Connect access, and costs EUR 480 in total - EUR 66 to apply, then EUR 60 a month. The Hotel Parador is the base, with La Caleta beach a 4-minute walk and the old town and cathedral 8 minutes away; accommodation is booked separately. Classes are taught mainly in English. Dancers from traditional, modern, sensual and fusion bachata backgrounds are all welcome.
