Bachata socials and classes operate on rotating-partner etiquette: leaders and followers swap throughout each song or class drill, so single dancers are the norm rather than the exception. What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move freely in, and shoes with smooth soles so you can pivot without sticking. Dance sneakers, jazz shoes, or leather-soled dress shoes all work; gym sneakers grip too hard.
