Yes. Latin Party in Prague welcomes all levels — beginners are encouraged to arrive early for the intro lesson (typically the first 30-60 minutes), then stay for the social. No prior bachata experience is required and instructors rotate partners through the lesson so newcomers can practice with everyone.

Do I need to bring a partner?

Accepted Answer

No partner is required at Latin Party. Bachata socials and festivals operate on rotating-partner etiquette: leaders and followers swap throughout each song or class drill, so single dancers are the norm rather than the exception. Showing up alone is one of the fastest ways to expand your bachata community.

What time should I arrive?

Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before the start time. Latin Party usually opens for warm-up and informal practice before the formal lesson begins. The social portion at most Prague bachata events runs at least 2-3 hours after the class wraps, so come planning to stay — peak energy on the floor is typically the second hour of social dancing.

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothes you can move freely in, and shoes with smooth soles so you can pivot without sticking. Dance sneakers, jazz shoes, or leather-soled dress shoes all work; gym sneakers grip too hard. Bring water and a small towel — bachata is a contact dance and one hour of dancing is the cardiovascular equivalent of a 5K run.
